Taichou and Hammond are two adorable kitties. Makoto was a wonderful little guy who we miss very much.
Taichou is a brown tiger with a white nose, a white patch on his chest, and a white stripe across his back leg. Hammond is a mix of white and grey tabby in a "cowcat" pattern, with an all-tabby tail. Makoto was all white except for a grey patch on his head.
Taichou and Makoto were adopted on March 15, 2003 from the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats in Lunenburg, MA. Hammond was adopted on December 1, 2007 from the Milford Humane Society in Milford, MA.
That's right, they're former shelter kitties - if you're at all hesitant about adopting a cat from a shelter, these three are proof that you can get the sweetest, most wonderful kitties from a shelter. I couldn't imagine a better cat than any of them.
Their journal primarily features pictures of them, taken by their aspiring-amateur-photographer humans, and (occasionally)
kviri. It also features pictures of special guest stars, which may be pets of friends of their humans (usually cats, though we've had one special guest canine to date, and wouldn't rule out more), or may be cats living at the Milford Humane Society, where the humans volunteered for a couple of years, before the travel got to be too much.
This journal is and will remain public. We don't post anything as friends-only, so you're not missing anything if we don't friend you back (which we won't, mostly because we're lazy :). Feel free to add
harikonotora to your friends list, even if you don't know us. We don't mind.
Want to know where the username comes from? Check out this page (wayback link). The Hariko no Tora is a paper mache tiger. And, as we all know, all kitties are Fierce Tigers, if only in their own little minds.
